ok, so in case i forget to sign or ya'll can't tell the difference in content and style, i will try to always color my text. this only works if Sparky never colors hers and well...we will see how all this works. i am spinning the wheel as I curve towards the learning on this stuff. Lorenzia

Hoop jumping...they ought to make it an Olympic sport. It is the thing we get good at after years in the hood-a-mother. I have these lovely imagines that come to mind, when I have one of those days where I can't believe what I accomplished. All those logistics and disparate elements, all those phone calls and difficult to gather information, like gathering glitter scattered on the floor. Well met communication, wherein I etched out the details with carefully crafted questions. Just so I could make a schedule for my child that made some sense and worked for everyone involved with as much ease and grace as possible. That's a skill set baby, don't ever let anyone say otherwise!

sparky's lunchbag

Lunch - I am really good at making interesting lunches, at least I think so, we could ask Sparky. YO, sparkles, whaddyathink? she will get back to us about that. and yes, what I like about her very much is that she is sparkly, she sparks, she sparkles. what a great random nickname for her because of all that it implies. She is sparkly like the sun on water or the moonlight caught in branches. It spills out of her, those carbonated bubbles of laughter and joy rise up in her and float upon the air. As each one pops there is this uplifting sound and if i were very tiny and sensitive i could hear the sound of a flower in the moment when it goes from bud to bloom and this is what it would sound like...an exuberant and simple sighing into being. She also sparks conversation, she ignites a sense of gratitude and a refinement of clear and clever thought. she is like a sparkler on the 4th on July. that's my sparky. and i want to know why I couldn't be Lorenzia, at least this would be a bit more girly and I need help in this arena most times. I couldn't come up with anything more clever so, it was again to honor and hone in on a time in history when I would have loved to be present. In the Salon of Lorenzo d'Medici (i could have been his sister,perhaps) wherein I could have hung out with all the cool guys of the moment, like Michaelangelo, Raphael, Dante, DaVinci and many more. yeah, that would have been the best. c'est la vie! so, instead I am Lorenzo (ia) in the 21st century, writing a blog. At least I have all of you for inspiration and I must say, that is alot to be thankful for ...so THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! ;-))

oh, yes, and I make a stellar lunch, always coming up with interesting tidbits so as not to get boring and isntead generate a bit of anticipation and surprise. I do this because I really dislike making school lunches after so many years, so i found a way to make it more fun for myself and voila! it's more fun for her too! I love that about life. it is so cool!

keyboarding

i really like my keyboarding class, seventh period. its very dark and peaceful and my teacher doesn't pay attention so i chew gum and walk over to the window and watch kids outside. i don't have any friends in that class but its refreshing and i talk to this boy named james alexander clark who i don't really ever hear speak except to mention some factoid about led zepplin or ask me to play bmtron :). i nap in that class a lot and i am not quite sure whether i am the only one who knows this.. not to mention my slowly increasing typing speed. keyboarding is nice and i don't have to talk much.

Edumaction

Sparky is in the eighth grade and enjoys herself immensely. She loves English for the writing, Math for the logistics, Science for the complexity, and History for the teacher. With an off period the last period of the day Sparky and her friends draw on whiskers and play twister. The teachers are not aware of this. Sparky and her friends are sneaky.

Its good to know that she is getting a quality education.
